(Regardless of the below information, today’s date IS March 14, 2008.) 

Look what I got today!

 Yes, it’s super faint (and this is an “early” Answer brand test).  That, in itself, is worrrisome, considering that I should be nearly 5 weeks pregnant.  More concerning to me, however, is the fact that I’ve been spotting for the last 7 days.  This *did* happen to me with my last pregnancy, and I have a beautiful 2 year old to show for it.  So.  I’m trying to be positive. 

I’ve already booked the midwife, since she just so happens to be the ONLY midwife on the island in which I reside.  She can only take 5 clients a month, so it’s a huge weight off my shoulders to know that I am “in”.  I’m a homebirther, so this is especially important to me.  I would probably have chosen unassisted birth at home rather than drag my pregnant ass to a hospital.  Seriously. 

 The online calculators are giving me an estimated due date of 11/15/08, but I’m going to say that a more accurate EDD would be a week later than that.  I have been obsessive about taking home pregnancy tests for the last 2 weeks, and this is the first “positive” I’ve seen.  That probably brings me closer to 4 weeks along.  Unless something is wrong, which we are not going to dwell on, are we?
